About
We are organizing, mobilizing, and strategizing because we won’t go back. We’re advancing!
We won't go back
“Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.”
Frederick Douglass
AAMKA is not a political movement. Our focus is not on Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, or any other party; however, we encourage our members to participate in the voting process. Our movement is a spiritual movement of African Americans who are dedicated to advancing Christ and His Kingdom of justice and righteousness in our communities. Our foundation is based on Scriptures such as Psalm 89:14; Isaiah 1:17; 9:7–8; Matthew 10; 28:18–20.
We are committed to three priorities:
Defending democracy against those who seek to silence our voices
Demanding racial justice for African Americans in every sphere of life
Developing righteous living through God’s Word in our families and communities
Defending Democracy
Born out of America’s long legacy of white supremacy and racial oppression and revived with force under the second Trump Administration, AAMKA stands as a witness that God’s Kingdom is built on righteousness and justice, and we labor to advance that Kingdom in our generation.
God has repeatedly used African American clergy to show white Christians that He is a God of justice, equity, and fairness. He used African American clergy in the Abolitionist Movement to help end slavery. He raised up African American clergy to lead the Civil Rights Movement that brought down Jim Crow.
We believe God will once again use African Americans to lead the next and final movement—the Kingdom Movement. This movement will secure full equality for African Americans and other marginalized ethnic groups, and most importantly, prepare all people for eternal life in Christ’s Kingdom.
The Re-Election Of Donald Trump, White Backlash And the Threat To Democracy
Douglas’ insight remains as accurate now as when he spoke it nearly two centuries ago. Oppressors push their limits only as far as the oppressed allows. They gauge how much oppression they can inflict on African Americans by watching our silence or our resistance. History has shown that quiet acceptance invites more injustice. Our ancestors knew this well, understanding that each successive generation must fight to secure its freedoms, as Coretta Scott King reminded us.
White support for Trump’s presidency was driven by a desire to preserve white dominance, not economic concerns. His rise was a direct white backlash reaction to Obama’s presidency, which intensified fears among some white Americans of becoming a minority in a nation they consider their own. Kamala Harris’s role as Vice President further amplified these anxieties, especially with her proximity to the presidency.
Trump’s response was to disrespect and demean VP Harris’ audacious presidential campaign at every opportunity, knowing that such open hostility toward a Black woman presidential candidate would rally racist sentiments. For his base, Trump’s legal issues, e.g., 34 felony convictions, incitement of insurrection, are not relevant. To them, he represents their last stand to preserve a social order built on white male supremacy.
Trump and the MAGA Movement Are A Threat to Democracy.
MAGA is a political movement determined to reverse decades of Black progress. With control over the White House, Congress, and the Supreme Court, Trump and his MAGA allies are advancing Project 2025, a detailed plan to dismantle democracy, destroy civil rights, disenfranchise Black voters, and defend white dominance—even through authoritarianism.
African Americans are no strangers to authoritarianism. We endured enslavement and Jim Crow for nearly 400 years. We know better than anyone that our rights and progress are more secure in a democratic nation. That is why we clearly understand the threat of authoritarianism, especially for our community.
Yet our ultimate faith is not in America but in God’s Kingdom of justice and righteousness. That Kingdom is far greater than MAGA and will one day replace the American empire (Daniel 2). Until then, we must mobilize to advance God’s Kingdom.
A Word to White Evangelical MAGA
The Trump administration draws heavy support from white evangelicals and many Catholics. Too often these Christians ignore God’s command that His Kingdom rests on justice and righteousness. By doing so, they have repeatedly backed racist policies that deny God’s concern for racial justice.
African American clergy cannot allow white evangelicals and white Catholics to whitewash the Gospel or speak for God’s Kingdom. We must push back. We must get off the sidelines and remind this nation that the God of the Bible established His throne and His Kingdom on justice and righteousness. The Old Testament prophets stood in the same tradition, confronting Israel whenever it strayed from equity and fairness.
African American clergy today must do the same—speaking truth to power and making it clear to white evangelical Christians that no one can claim to follow Jesus while advancing policies and practices that are stridently anti-Black.

Our mission is simple. We’re developing righteousness within the African American community and demanding racial justice for the African American community.
